Shopping local

We really are blessed here in Wickham Market, not only do we have an excellent butchery/ Deli/ Wine shop, and a Coop that sells local produce, but we also have a mini market on a Wednesday.

So today it was drop the kids to school and a rainy walk into the village for some shopping, before heading home for breakfast with some local (Lowestoft) hot smoked salmon. I also picked up some local smoked haddock and a piece sustainable white fish (Pollock).

The shopping bag was further weighed down with unpasturised Suffolk cheese (#baronbigod) and Suffolk pork sausages and sausagemeat for Scotch Egg making tomorrow!

Breakfast is now served, local free range eggs and smoked salmon… Not only is breakfast a low food mile option, it supports local business and helps the community thrive…. Thats what living gentler is all about!
